To facilitate collaborative and interdisciplinary applied projects the SFC CESU is hosting an annual meeting during which federal partners of the SFC CESU (currently 9 members) will highlight research needs. We invite researchers to present at this meeting with the possibility of aligning their expertise with the research needs of the federal partners. In the context of the SFC CESU specifically, the research foci includes research that evaluates the interconnections between flow of water from the land to the sea and its geological, hydrological, biological, and ultimately ecological and cultural manifestations. The research foci of the SFC CESU include three geographic regions (Everglades, Coastal Bays and Estuaries, and Caribbean Forested Ecosystems) and three regionally unifying themes (Coral Reefs, Human-Environment Interactions, Hydrological Issues and Sea Level Rise).
